Constitutional Crisis? Why not a Constitutional Solution?

“Given the instability many witnessed, there were early whispers within the cabinet of invoking the 25th Amendment, which would start a complex process for removing the president. But no one wanted to precipitate a constitutional crisis. So we will do what we can to steer the administration in the right direction until — one way or another — it’s over.”

It seems to me that invoking the 25th Amendment could create a constitutional solution during a crisis rather than being the creation of a crisis, but hey, I’m no constitutional scholar. I’m not even an astute political thinker. Just a guy thinking out loud after reading the NYT op ed.

I respond to political issues from time to time, because I believe that our theological and philosophical underpinnings should guide our behavior in all aspects of life. Yes, morality and ethics are moral and ethical – even in politics.
